,
I am so excited for you. You picked a good time of year to go...crowds and weather wise!
Do not be afraid (or ashamed) about getting a wheelchair, they are plentiful and you will not be taking one from someone else.
That place is massive and there is a lot of ground to cover you may be glad you got one by the end of the day.
I was down there a few weeks after having knee surgery and thought I'd be fine without any assistance...halfway through the day I needed to get one. By the second day, my husband got me a motorized scooter. Both were truly lifesavers, and helped make the visit more enjoyable. I must say the park employees, ride attendants and shuttle drivers were extremely helpful and accommodating.
Make sure you bring lots of water (hydrate), wear comfortable shoes and pack a rain poncho if you have one. It always seems to rain (for a short spurt) this time of year -however, nothing to ruin your day!
I hope you and your family have a wonderful time!
Share some pics when you get back.
