Hi, ! I am sorry you are dealing with tongue pain. Many people with Lupus do experience tongue pain that is tied to mouth sores, but you mentioned that there are no sores. There is a condition that likes to tag a long with Lupus called Sjogren's and Sjogren's can cause tongue soreness. You can read more about it here and see if it sounds like something you might be dealing with -- https://lupus.net/living/sjogrens-syndrome-connection. Also, if you are experiencing this issue pretty regularly, you might want to track the frequency of these episodes and then see if you can find any links (medications, changes in your diet, allergies, etc). Do you notice any other symptoms, like that your tongue looks extra red or discolored or swollen or anything like that? Does it hurt constantly or when you are eating and drinking? I can't say for sure what's going on and I have learned that autoimmune conditions like to throw out some really weird symptoms at any time. I do hope you are able to get to the bottom of what's going on and get some lasting relief very soon!
