Ssi/ssdi

What does a doctor look for or how do you ask your rheumatologist to dx you as disabled when applying for disability.

  1. Hi, !

One of our health leaders wrote extensively about SSDI and the application process, so I am going to link to some of her work. Here's some helpful info on SSDI -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/rheumatoid-arthritis-social-security-disability-benefits. And here's some specifics on the application process -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/understanding-application-process-social-security-disability-benefits. And, here's some specific on some basic criteria -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/resources-ssdi. You can just ask your doctor about his/her thoughts on your Lupus and whether they think you may qualify for SSDI, just to get the ball rolling. I hope this information is helpful for you and don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions; we're happy to help in any way we can.

    Best, Erin, Team Member.
