What does a doctor look for or how do you ask your rheumatologist to dx you as disabled when applying for disability.

Hi, !One of our health leaders wrote extensively about SSDI and the application process, so I am going to link to some of her work. Here's some helpful info on SSDI -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/rheumatoid-arthritis-social-security-disability-benefits. And here's some specifics on the application process -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/understanding-application-process-social-security-disability-benefits. And, here's some specific on some basic criteria -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/resources-ssdi. You can just ask your doctor about his/her thoughts on your Lupus and whether they think you may qualify for SSDI, just to get the ball rolling. I hope this information is helpful for you and don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions; we're happy to help in any way we can.Best, Erin, Team Member.
