My Lupusversary: Is that a thing?

New Year's Eve 2024 was intentional. My bestie and I wanted to ensure joy colored our 365 days in the new year. We wrote affirmations, decorated happy jars, and ordered guided journals. Our focus was healing and hope. A month later, I had to refine what that meant. For me, Lupus became a thing in my life. It has been a journey, and I've spent a lot of intimate time with my "-ists." I've altered my lifestyle, tried to manage my stress, and have made them hear my pain. Although there is uncertainty, my purpose is to celebrate my presence...and breathe through it.
