Lupus Awareness Month: The Lupus Roller Coaster
Time to kick off Lupus Awareness Month this May! Throughout the month, we will be focusing on highlighting the impact lupus has on daily life. Many people who aren't living with lupus do not fully understand how it affects so many aspects of life – managing flares, chronic pain, fatigue, brain fog, and maintaining healthy self-esteem. Lupus is multifaceted and no 2 days are exactly the same. Life with lupus can feel like a roller coaster, an unpredictable maze of ups and downs. Keep reading to discover 4 ways you can join us this month to spread lupus awareness.

This awareness month, we are giving away an anti-inflammatory kitchen kit! Nutrition can make a big difference when it comes to reducing inflammation in the body.
2. Share your lupus story
Speaking out about your experiences can be a form of advocacy. Spread lupus awareness by sharing your personal story. How has life changed since receiving your lupus diagnosis? How are you managing your lupus symptoms? How do you choose to practice self-care on your lupus journey? Sharing your story is a great way to support the community and connect with others who may be able to relate!
3. Join the discussion
Do you have any questions you would like to ask the lupus community? What tips would you like to share with others in our community who are newly diagnosed with lupus? Join the discussion by creating or responding to one of our forums! Our forums cover a wide range of lupus-related topics including identifying flare triggers, having hard conversations with loved ones, and after-flare self-care tips!
