Let's have a frank conversation about brain fog. Brain fog is often described as relentless, frustrating, and a major source of fatigue for up to 60 percent of people living with lupus. Many people in our community have shared that they felt like their brain fog was out of control and that they didn't know how to manage it.

This thread is a place for us all to discuss brain fog, how we manage our brain fog, and what it's like to live with it. Please feel free to share anything and everything related to brain fog with us here. We want to hear from you, because more likely than not, there is another person living with Lupus who feels similar to your life experience.

  1. yes I def go through brain fog. Some days are better than others. What has worked best for me especially at work is writing everything down. My notes have saved me so many times. I also have a password book. I can never remember any of those.

    1. I’m unable to work in my chosen career field. My income has decreased drastically as a result. As noted in the article, there are different tools we can use so our lives are less impacted by the brain fog. One thing that’s never addressed is problem solving. I was paid to solve complex problems. Now, it’s often difficult for me to figure out everyday things. For me, that’s a career killer.

      1. , That is such a good point. Brain fog is no joke...some people think its as simple as forgetfulness, but it goes so much deeper than that. Impeded problem-solving and cognitive functioning is especially frustrating when you know that your brain has been able to function differently before lupus brain fog came in the picture.
