What do you do?

Sometimes that nemesis insomnia can hit us, What do you do when you aren’t able to sleep?

  1. Watching tv

    1. I watch criminal minds at night when I can’t sleep puts me out in like 45 minutes try it it might help I don’t know if you
Like crime shows or not but it’s a good one to watch when you can’t sleep I don’t suggest comedy’s they’ll just keep you up all night good luck to you

    2. , thanks for sharing! I tend to stick to lighter fare, as I have woken my poor husband in the middle of the night when one of the characters in a crime show I was watching was screaming like crazy. For his sake, I adjusted my nighttime TV viewing habits a bit. Although, Criminal Minds is a good choice, in my opinion!

  2. I watch a lot of cooking shows or the health network it has calm on there and I like the ocean view and sound

    1. Ok I need to laugh 😂 😂😂 that’s better than. I actually live in Canada so not to much of a problem with that. But I can’t participate it doesn’t agree with the ticker. There is a channel called the healthy living network so I watch the ones that have oceans with the waves my favourite and I love cooking so cooking chanels

    2. I’m so sorry you’ve got a bad ticker darling I hope that gets better mine did but I have lupus nephritis on top of everything else I have it completely sucks sometimes so I try to just stay high pretty much all day until I can’t do it anymore cuz I’m stuck at home 24/7 cuz of these stupid seizures I have on top of everything else so I just sit at home not being able to do much cuz of the pain & exhaustion I feel on a daily basis you know girl I’m sure you know how that feels right ?!?! Not the getting high part but the pain & everything else I said !! You know darling ???!!!

  3. I read a really boring, technical book or pray or listen to relaxing slow music like Satie. You can also try doing a mini workout and then the post-workout exhaustion will hit you. For some people, melatonin helps. Drinking a cup of hot chamomile tea is soothing

    1. or hot coco I use that every night

    2. I do too every night I have a hot coco right before bed with milk not water love it favorite part of my day

  4. I have always had insomnia even before my diagnosis but as time goes bye it's gotten worse..
I have researched some meds and when I was on prednisone ( steroid) can make you jittery with spirts of energy.. so I quit taking it at night..
Also. And they say cell phones and TVs are a simulator for your brain so it's harder to fall asleep a boring book trying to do a minimal exercise during the day so your muscles are a little more tired maybe walk or whatever it is that might help you some stretches some of the few things that seem to help me some of the time but not all the time if I could be falling asleep sitting in a chair lay down the bed and I'm wide awake

    1. ,
      Great suggestions!
Thanks for adding to the conversation.
