What do you do?

Sometimes that nemesis insomnia can hit us, What do you do when you aren’t able to sleep?

  1. Watching tv

    1. , any particular shows that you watch when the insomnia hits? Or is it more about whatever might distract your brain from the insomnia?

    2. yeah that’s my go to sometimes too

  2. I watch a lot of cooking shows or the health network it has calm on there and I like the ocean view and sound

    1. love that ocean sounds are so soothing

  3. I read a really boring, technical book or pray or listen to relaxing slow music like Satie. You can also try doing a mini workout and then the post-workout exhaustion will hit you. For some people, melatonin helps. Drinking a cup of hot chamomile tea is soothing

    1. great ideas too thanks

    2. , these are all great ideas! I, too, will have some chamomile tea and read something incredibly boring to try to lull myself to sleep.

  4. I have always had insomnia even before my diagnosis but as time goes bye it's gotten worse..
I have researched some meds and when I was on prednisone ( steroid) can make you jittery with spirts of energy.. so I quit taking it at night..
Also. And they say cell phones and TVs are a simulator for your brain so it's harder to fall asleep a boring book trying to do a minimal exercise during the day so your muscles are a little more tired maybe walk or whatever it is that might help you some stretches some of the few things that seem to help me some of the time but not all the time if I could be falling asleep sitting in a chair lay down the bed and I'm wide awake

    1. ,
      Great suggestions!
