Struggling with a diagnosis
My names Rachel, I'm 35. I have been experiencing some symptoms of lupus. I have the classic butterfly rash along with heat and sun sensitivity. I'm 8 months pregnant and yesterday was told my baby went from 36 percentile to 8. She is not growing. They told me it's possible because of lupus but yesterday they tested me for ANA and it came back negative. I'm already scared, now even more confused. Was wondering if any one has gone thru this or if there's other things that can mimic what's going on? Thank you

I can hear from your post how frustrating and scary things feel right now. For so many, the diagnosis journey is long and hard. I can only imagine how much harder the journey would be while you have a growing baby to worry about. You are not alone in this. We recently had another member, whose lupus symptoms presented during her first pregnancy, ask if it was possible to have lupus with a negative ANA test.
