hi thanks for this question. I was on methotrexate when I was first diagnosed. Unfortunately I didn’t do too well while on it. My body just rejected it. I have spoken to many other people with lupus that it has worked for though. You have to be careful with any type of infection because they will become a bit exaggerated and out of control. The symptoms I experienced were lethargic, easily caught infections and low white blood count. That was a difficult drug for my body to handle. I hope it works for you. ~Racquel~ lupus.net team member
