Those are all very good questions that I wish I were a scientists or doctor to be able to give some insight. I think if we were able to answer some of those questions it would give us a jump on finding a cure.
From my understanding and in my own mind the white blood cells can become confused where there is an infection of some sort or with some medications. I think, when I go into my scientist side of the brain LOL, that anyone that has lupus most likely had an infection somewhere that confuse those cells.
There are so many types of white blood cells that come out of the bone marrow, so I often wonder if we dealt with it all on that level would it be helpful. But, like I said I'm no doctor, that's just my theory on it. With that I imagine it could be hidden in a portion of our bodies that are harboring infections or bacteria. It's not a far out thought to me.
I have noticed with me certain foods assist my body in figuring it all out and of course the medications I take.
Your questions are spot on, and I am sure are on every doctor's mind. I wish it was a simple solution or answer but unfortunately it isn't. It helps to shoot these questions to a doctor to see what their take is on it. I am going to do that at my next appointment.
Thanks so much. I think about these things often and it's good to know that I am not the only one that may have some questions like these.
