Scary Moments

I often look back to see how far I’ve come and some issues still scare me. I am happy that I overcame them but they still are pretty scary.

What is the scariest issue you had to go through dealing with lupus? How do you feel knowing you beat that issue and have lived beyond it?

Scary Lupus Moments

  1. Before I knew I had Lupus I would have chest pains. You always here if you have chest pains its your heart and go to the ER. But my heart was fine. So after that I would just hope that when I had chest pains it wasn't my heart. Once I found out I had Lupus and learned more I realized it was most likely Pleurisy. But it is scary when you don't know what it is and what is going on with your body.

    1. oh I know that feeling so well. Pleurisy is rough and can always scare the bejesis out of you. And you are so right, not knowing is rough. Thanks for your comment. ~Racquel~ lupus.net team member

  2. I think the scariest was the shortness of breathe. I couldn't walk a block without gasping for air. When you're healthy no need to think about think about something as simple as breathing.

    1. wow that had to be scary. Thanks so much for saying when you are healthy you don't have to think about something as some as breathibg. I think a lot of people miss that point. I appreciate that comment. ~Racquel~ lupus.net team member
