Internal tremors

I have been experiencing internal tremors. Is it normal to experience tremors with lupus and is there anything I can do to make them stop?

  1. I have noticed mostly my hands trembling. I was recently put on a high dose of steroids. I was thinking maybe it was that. I had never experienced it before.

    1. I have an appointment next week. I am going to let her know. I’m hoping that is what it is as well. Hopefully it’s just while I’m on steroids. Thank you for the positive vibes! Have a good night💜🙏🏼🦋

    2. Hi @roseray505 glad you have an appointment next week. Have a good night as well!

  2. Hi @Amd7588 I have not personally experienced anything like that with my lupus. But, lupus affects us all differently. I would suggest messaging your rheumatologist ASAP to get further advice. Sending positive vibes. - Geri (lupus.net, team member)

    1. I have only experienced this with issues around my sugar and when on high doses of Prednisone when I wasn't sleeping well. I hope when my you go to the doctor, they can pinpoint what's going on. ~Racquel~ lupus.net team member

      1. I had internal tremors, along with intense itching and panic attacks. I thought it was from the steroid withdrawal, then when I started taking hydroxychloroquine I thought it was that. Finally diagnosed with depression and generalized anxiety disorder, which affects my daily life as much as lupus. I take several anti anxiety meds as well as antidepressants. You might look into that, even though mental illness issues aren’t seen in lupus often, they do occur. Good luck.

        1. , Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us! Mental and physical health are so interconnected, it's something that gets overlooked far too often!
