Brain fog

I was recently diagnosed with Lupus and I have read about brain fog being a symptom. I am not forgetting times, places and so forth, but when I am talking I am noticing that I will completly forget the word I was going to use. It is causing me to speak more slowly at times and honestly is freaking me out. Pain in joints, swelling, and feeling like I was hit by a truck are all things I guess I expect, but this symptom scares me. Does anyone else have this happen or should I not be so quick to relate this to Lupus? It isn't all the time, but is more frequently happening than I would like for it to. Thanks for any comments you may have in advance.

  1. so rough being newly diagnosed and dealing with new symptoms. Bran fog is try real and wat you are experiencing is felt by many even me. It takes some time to get used to having that fog and you have to find ways to cope. Here are some articles on here that describe bran fog and may help you better understand it. Thanks for your question. ~Racquel~ lupus team member
