The 12 Days of “LupMAS”
We know the holidays can bring on extra stress. Therefore, it’s important to find the comedy in it all. After all, laughter can soothe the weary soul. Lupus is crazy with tense moments. It can seem like they are new issues when in fact, they are all the same. The days leading up to Christmas can be a whirlwind of busy. Hence, the 12 days of “LupMAS,” better known as the 12 days when lupus does the most. I’m sure every lupus warrior can relate, so sing-a-long with me.

On the 1st day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the 2nd day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 2 hurt hands and a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the 3rd day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 3 toes a swelling, 2 hurt hands and a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the 4th day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 4 aching joints, 3 toes a swelling, 2 hurt hands and a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the 5th day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 5 stomach pains, 4 aching joints, 3 toes a swelling, 2 hurt hands, and a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the 6th day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 6 headaches waiting, 5 stomach pains, 4 aching joints, 3 toes a swelling, 2 hurt hands, and a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the seventh day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 7 pinching back pains, 6 headaches waiting, 5 stomach pains, 4 aching joints, 3 toes a swelling, 2 hurt hands and a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the 8th day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 8 tender hip spots, 7 pinching back pains, 6 headaches waiting, 5 stomach pains, 4 aching joints, 3 toes a swelling, 2 hurt hands and a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the 9th day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 9 eye floaters, 8 tender hip spots, 7 pinching back pains, 6 headaches waiting, 5 stomach pains, 4 aching joints, 3 toes a swelling, 2 hurt hands and a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the 10th day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 10 heart flutters leaping, 9 eye floaters, 8 tender hip spots, 7 pinching back pains, 6 headaches waiting, 5 stomach pains, 4 aching joints, 3 toes a swelling, 2 hurt hands and a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the 11th day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 11 nauseous feelings, 10 heart flutters leaping, 9 eye floaters, 8 tender hip spots, 7 pinching back pains, 6 headaches waiting, 5 stomach pains, 4 aching joints, 3 toes a swelling, 2 hurt hands and a butterfly rash for all to see.
On the 12th day of LupMAS, my lupus gave to me, 12 sharp pains in my knees, 11 nauseous feelings, 10 heart flutters leaping, 9 eye floaters, 8 tender hip spots, 7 pinching back pains, 6 headaches waiting, 5 stomach pains, 4 aching joints, 3 toes a swelling, 2 hurt hands and A BUTTERFLY RASH FOR ALL TO SEEEEEEEEEE.
