What Do I Do?

I just signed up, like 3 minutes ago. Can someone give me some guidance as for what to do? How this site works? I’m trying to find a supportive site, but not one that is negative all the time. I’ve been on ones where everything is the end of the world and ones where everything is roses. I’m looking for a little of both and things in between. I hope I haven’t scared everyone off! Thank you, Kathy

      1. Kathy,
I am a moderator here at Lupus.net. I do understand your frustration with the information that is in the public forum. I try and incorporate a positive aspect in all of my responses, as well as articles, so that each viewer leaves the site with something to carry with them. Please remember that lupus has its ups and downs. Also remember that each experience is different. Living with lupus is an evolving experience. The more you educate yourself, the more you are able to help play a role in controlling your condition. Start with learning as much as you can about management. Check out the article on self carehttps://lupus.net/living-coping/ You may also want to check out other resources for patient management resources that provided by the Lupus Foundation and the Lupus Initiative. These resources may help you better understand your condition and step into each event with a better understanding. Once I began to understand what was going on, I began to learn what triggered each flare, symptom, etc.

I wish you the best and hope that 2021 will bring you better health.

        Warmest regards,
        Chris Moderator Lupus.net Team
