Stomach Pain

I have been having stomach pains for the last 2 days. Is anyone else experiencing this. I was diagnosed with Lupus last week and was wondering could the stomach pain be Lupus related?

  1. , Unfortunately, lupus seems to find a way to impact nearly every part of the body, including the stomach. It's worth checking in with your doctor about. This article explains some of the gastrointestinal issues people sometimes face when managing lupus: https://lupus.net/gastrointestinal-system. I Hope this helps and you are able to find some relief soon!

    1. I can see how that was a frustrating appointment 🙁. I don't blame you for feeling the way you do about it. Hopefully your appointment on the 21st will go smoothly, and you'll be on your way towards getting these symptoms under control. One step at a time, right?

In the meantime, does anything help you cope with your pain? Some people find a lot of benefit from hot/cold treatment, like taking a warm bath or shower, or using ice on joints which are sore. You could also try a heating pad as well if heat is something you find therapeutic.

    2. thank you!!

  2. I'm so sorry you are dealing with thatand that you've been recently diagnosed. It's definitely something that can be because of lupus but can't really be sure. As a newly diagnosed warrior I would say to call your doctor. It could be medication as well. I hope you find some relief. ~Racquel~ lupus.net team member
