Short of breath
Hi, so I've noticed that when I have a flare up that I have shortness of breath. I don't have any pain but just feel like I'm not breathing normally. Does anyone else experience this?
Hi @caligirl - Thanks for your question. Shortness of breathe can be a symptom/side effect of a flare up but it does not necessarily mean it is caused by lupus. From my personal experience, I had both shortness of breathe and sharp pains in my chest. I'm sorry you are experiencing this. I only really have experienced this when I had pleurisy. After having double pneumonia and pleurisy it created the shortness of breath. Every now and again the pleurisy comes back and causes it, but it comes with pain. I hope it ge3ts better for you. ~Racquel~ lupus.net team member
