Has anyone experienced weird dreams or night terrors while on Plaquenil?
Doreen HCommunity Admin
Thanks for reaching out.
After researching Plaquenil side effects, I did notice one common side effect is sleep disturbance and nightmares. Perhaps others will chime in here with their own personal experiences.
In the meantime, if you are having frequent sleep disturbances/nightmares you may want to bring this to your healthcare provider's attention.

Are you still experiencing weird dreams/night terrors?
They can truly be scary.
Thinking of you and hoping they are few and far between.

Unfortunately, Lupus can attack any part of the body.
Sometimes an increased heart rate and/or breathing issues can be the result of a flare.
We always recommend bringing any new or changing symptoms to your healthcare provider's attention. My best, Doreen (Team Member)

Yes, I always have nightmares and night terrors. I do believe it's medication related, not sure which medication.

That's not fun to deal with... you may want to discuss this with your healthcare team to determine what is causing it and what can be done.
