Does anyone have to get up 5 times a night to pee? I've tried to stop drinking several hours before bed and I still get up several times a night. Does anyone else with Lupus/Fibromyalgia have this issue?

Hi,
A person can experience frequent urination with Lupus and it is sometimes a sign that Lupus is affecting your kidneys, so please consult with your doctor if you haven't already done so, just to be safe.
I hope you are able to get some answers and getting better sleep, very soon!

I have this issue on the days my kidneys are really bothering me or whenever I have to increase my steroid intake. Have you had your kidneys checked? I have to get ultrasounds of my kidneys often and they're usually filled with blood and one even has a "growth/blockage" in the line but I'm hesitant to do anything about it for fear of making something else happen or worsening anything. So long as your urine isn't really discolored or smells very metallic then I'd imagine it wouldn't be alarming? Still wouldn't hurt to poke around, never know what you could find and hopefully you can feel better. 🙃

Yes usually about 5 times a night
My kidneys are checked frequently and I am told they are functioning fine
Luckily the medical marijuana helps with the insomnia and getting back to sleep

It's good to hear you're kidneys have been checked.
I'm glad your sleep isn't affected too much. ~Doreen (Team Member)
