Neurologist

Hi everyone, I'm curious if a neurologist can refer an ANA blood test to test for lupus? Or can only a rheumatologist? Thanks

  1. That's a good question, . I can't answer for certain, but I have never had an issue with my PCP (primary care provider) being able to refer pretty much any bloodwork she thinks I may need.

It may not be the case in your situation, but you can always call and ask your doctor. I don't know for sure when it comes to a neurologist.
