Hand Neuropathy

Has anyone experienced hand neuropathy with lupus? If so, can you explain your experience and treatment.

  1. I experience some neuropathy in my hands. It’s usually tingling and some pain. It can really take me for a loop. I believe mine comes from lupus and type 2 diabetes. We have not talked about much treatment for it mostly because it’s not a constant thing. I find when my sugar is unregulated it happens more often. I hope you can speak with your doctor more about this to get some relief. ~Racquel~ lupus team member

    1. yes, I have 2 diabetes and Lupus both, the pain come during the night and there is no sleep. 88 yrs old, sort of tired of it.

      1. , Living with lupus alone can be overwhelming and exhausting, but adding additional diagnoses on top of it is never easy. The sleepless nights add to the physical and emotional stress of it all. We hear you. Thank you for sharing with us. Sending hugs,

      1. I have had lupus for 12 or 15 years now they recommended me to have methotrexate first and then another one , I did research on my liver enzymes because they were getting too high took myself off that medication my liver enzymes went down to normal you have to be your own doctor 💊

        1. , So sad but true, you have to be your own best advocate. Glad you caught that in time to make a change
