Does anyone deal with insane nausea

Four years now I have been doing with Extreme nausea and violent vomiting at least once or twice a month. I will stay sick for days. Sometimes a week or over. It seems to be after I’m in the sun, or after I exert myself too much. Can anyone please reach out if this is happening to you as well?! I need someone to talk to as I don’t want to worry my family anymore. They see me so sick and I feel so guilty. Anyone?

  1. My heart breaks reading your post. Please be gentle with yourself on this journey and try to avoid feeling "guilty." You are fighting a daily battle just to make it to tomorrow. It's cruel that lupus forces lifestyle changes upon you without consent. We get it. Please know you are not alone in this. Gastrointestinal issues are commonly experienced alongside lupus, this article explains the connection: https://lupus.net/gastrointestinal-system. Another option worth considering is that nausea can sometimes be a side effect from certain medications, like immunosuppressants: https://lupus.net/living/immunosuppressants Have you started a new treatment lately? It might be worth checking in with your doctor to see if they can make adjustments to you medication to manage this symptom. Keep us in the loop with how it goes!

    1. so sorry you’ve been so ill. It isn’t any fun being sick to your stomach. I have had this happen to me early on in my diagnosis. I found the sun, medicines and what I ate was the culprit. I had to find ways to compare it like peppermint essential oils, gum, peppermint and sometimes anti nadeau meds. Once my lupus began to get co trolled the bouts with nausea and vomiting became less and less. Although still have some episodes. Have you asked your doctor about different treatment methods that could help?
