Lupus Tried But Did Not Succeed...

I was in a horrible car wreck in 1991... it was shortly after that I was diagnosed... pretty sure that was the trigger.

Family planning and living with lupus

I was 19. I am now 50 with 3 beautiful children 27... 24 and 11. My husband and I tried to have a child for years after our middle but each one ended with miscarriage. Our last child was conceived after 3 miscarriages.

Treatment for autoimmune condition

We were referred to a perinatologist because I was 38... he discovered I had antiphospholipid syndrome and the blood was clotting in the cord leading to miscarriage.

So for the last child, I had 2 injections daily of blood thinner in my belly. It was very unpleasant, but we have a healthy beautiful 11-year-old as a result.
