Waiting

Hi
I am waiting to hear from my Rheumatologist about my blood tests. It's been 6 weeks now and I've not heard a thing. Does this mean I don't have Lupus and no news is good news. My GP sent me to him because they found something in the blood tests they took, something to do with my immune system. I have terrible brain fog and whatever is told to me I forget but they suggested
it could be Lupus. My Mother had it.
I've not felt healthy for such a long time and felt I was a hypochondriac because my Dr couldn't find anything wrong.
Thank you for this site.

  1. I would definitely give the doctor a call. The only way to know for sure is to ask questions and ask about results. I hope it works out okay. ~Racquel ~ lupus.net team member

    1. Call them! If the doctor has a portal, sign up for it. I also manage medical information for a family member and I found that one group of doctors assumes that you read your report and they don't bother to call or email. Also, it took at least 4 years for the doctors to dx Lupus, and many years to dx another auto-immune condition. If everything points to Lupus and your tests do not verify it, consider getting another opinion, test, etc. Good luck!
