No appetite

I feel like food has become a source of anxiety. I don’t know how it will make me feel. I have no desire to eat. I eat a little but I’m losing my desire.

I see a rheumatologist on the 2nd. However I’m losing hope in life and it’s scaring me. Any help? Love you all

  1. I’m sorry to hear that, I'm the opposite I eat everything in sight. November was a year I was diagnosed with lupus. I'm still learning, I've learned to take one step at a time and please never lose hope. Every day I pray tomorrow will be better some days it is and others it is worse but I thank God for that day and do whatever my body and my mind allow me to do. Praying for you.

    1. such empowering words. I even needed to hear that. Thank you. ~Racquel~ lupus.net team member

  2. , I can hear the pain in your post and my heart goes out to you. Lupus can make everything feel difficult. I hope you are able to get some clarity and a good treatment plan when you meet with the Rheumatologist. I would recommend talking to them about the issues you are having with eating. Maybe try to find something you can tolerate (ice chips, strawberries, something light!) Don't push yourself past your limits! Good luck with your appointment!

    1. I'm so sorry you are feeling this way. Our relationship with food can have such an affect on our bodies. I know when I get to that place I have to be very mindful in how I approach food. Keeping a food diary helped a lot.

Don't lose your hope. Look how far you've come in strength even through the fear. You have support here and you are definitely not alone. Let us know what the doctor says tomorrow. ~Racquel~ lupus.net team member
