Lupus related??

I was diagnosed with alopecia when I was 14 — still have random flare ups (27 now). Have always dealt with this skin issue. The spots appear raised and pink/red and then turn discolored and stay that way for a while and eventually after time they fade. New spots are constantly popping up. My shoulders and now my neck get these spots. Sun exposure definitely triggers them but here lately they have appeared without sun exposure. Wondering if anyone has this too…. Also believe I have undiagnosed arthritis which is a story for another day.

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the picture.
As we wait for others to chime in here, I thought I'd mention that skin issues are quite common with Lupus. Most people with lupus will have experienced skin symptoms at some point. Some of these include rashes, sores, and lesions and can occur from your head to your toes.

In addition, we always recommend bringing any new or changing symptoms to your healthcare team's attention.
