Frustration

I had a positive ana test last May and I was told I had lupus. Then I was told by the doc that it is not lupus. I have been struggling with pain and intense burning in my arms, legs and back. I have lost and incredible amount of muscle over the last year and my weight jumps around. Experience terrible fatigue, brain fog and balance issues. I have been seeing doctors for a year now and the neurologist has now referred me to Mayo. I still have to believe it could be lupus. Should I try a different rheumatologist? Has anyone else had to deal with something like this?
Thanks,
Tim D

  1. I'm sorry you've been dealing with all of these issues with no firm answer. Lupus can be so hard to diagnose and many doctors still don't know everything to look at because if its mimicking. It's alswyas good to get a second opinion especially when you know something just isn't right with your body. Here is a link to show criteria it may help you when you visit your rheumatologist https://lupus.net/diagnostic-criteria
