Dr won't look at me while he's talking
My Rheumatologist won't look at me when he's talking. Does that mean he doesn't care? I just think it's strange!
I hear you and I understand why it might seem like your doctor doesn't care,
. I think I would look at other indicators to make a decision as to whether he cares or not. Does he actively engage with you at appointments? Does he take note of your thoughts and experiences and take those into consideration when suggesting treatments and medications?
Some doctors just stink at eye contact. And some doctors are focused on reading your file on the computer and putting new info into your records and they aren't as focused on making eye contact.
I hope he just happens to be bad at eye contact and is otherwise a great doctor for you!
