Stuck in a Bubble

I was diagnosed with lupus at age 18. Coming from a small town in Kentucky, not many doctors even knew what lupus was, much less knew what to do. I almost died, because they let me go so long without any treatment.

Constant lupus flares

Since then it’s been a struggle. I’ve never really been out of a flare-up. I stay at my home 24/7 unless it’s to go to the doctor. Any time I get out, I catch something. So, I’m stuck in a bubble. I feel like time has stood still for me and I watch everyone else’s life pass me by.
