Diagnosis

I was diagnosed 28 years ago when I gave birth to my youngest child. After I had her I felt off. I couldn’t lift a brush to brush my hair etc. My youngest was supposed to be born in April but she was born at the end of January. She almost came as early as Christmas. I was out on bed rest.

Living with other conditions alongside lupus

I’ve had TIA’s, gastric bypass, and hernia repair. It's been a journey that I wish I was never on. I have rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, Barrett’s esophagus, gastroparesis, and Raynaud's, I’m underweight and struggling.

Ongoing tests and doctors visits

One test of bloodwork came back and one of my blood proteins has been shown to cause cancer. I don’t have cancer right now but I’m monitored every 6 months now just in case. I have a primary doctor, gastro doctor, nutrition doctor, rheumatologist, nephrologist, and dermatologist.
