How Adopting A Dog Helped Me Cope With Lupus

At one of my lowest points with lupus, I impulsively adopted a shelter dog. I had been feeling isolated from friends and family due to fatigue that seemed endless. Adopting Wilbur provided me with a companion that moved at my pace.

Adopting a dog isn't for every person living with lupus. Make sure that you are healthy enough to care for your new companion first.
