   <p>Hi, <inline-mention username="frans333" user-id="8575335"/>!<br/><br/><br/>I think it&#39;s smart to do research on any medications you may be considering taking! I know some of our members have taken belimumab, with varying degrees of success. Those side effects can be daunting, and that can be one of the main reasons a person stops taking the medication. The same holds true for anifrolumab. <br/><br/><br/>I combed our site and couldn&#39;t find much input from our members on these two treatments, but I do hope that changes as time goes on. I even cast a wider net and looked on other sites dedicated to Lupus but didn&#39;t find much in the way pf personal experiences with these medications.<br/><br/><br/>Studies show that the treatments have about the same rates of success in treating Lupus symptoms, so picking one or the other seems to be a matter of preference.<br/><br/><br/>I&#39;m sorry I can&#39;t offer more helpful insight, but I look forward to seeing if any of our other community members see your question and chime in here!<br/><br/><br/>Best, Erin, <a href='http://Lupus.net' target='_blank'>Lupus.net</a> Team Member. </p>

   <p><inline-mention username="frans333" user-id="8575335"/> Welcome to the forum area. I have been on Benlysta since it was approved for lupus. For me it has helped me tremendously. I do not have any major side effects. It&#39;s always good to look into the drug and discuss it with your doctor. For me the side effects outweighed the need I had to control my lupus. It has helped lessen my flares and feel better overall.
