"My hands always break out a certain time of the year I don't know why lupus does this to me but my hands have a rash all over them they itch so bad they're leaking clear liquid out of the rash does anybody else get these rashes on their hands and how do you get rid of it I don't have anymore of the steroid cream anymore and it's Sunday so I can't call the rheumatologist office right now or my doctor. What do I do 😢"
, first off, I am so sorry you are dealing with this. And why do these things always seem to flare up on the weekends or late at night? Ugh! You can always go to an Urgent Care/Minute Clinic in your area to hopefully get some quick relief. An urgent care doctor should be able to prescribe a steroid cream, though I can't guarantee that.
So, apologies for the length of my reply in advance. I want to break this response into two parts. First -- how to get a handle on the itchiness right now. As I already mentioned, you can visit an urgent care, if necessary. You might see if some over-the-counter skin creams/ointments (hydrocortisone creams, etc) bring at least a little relief. Long term? Have you seen a dermatologist about your skin issues, preferably one that is knowledgeable about Lupus? Also, if you haven't already, try to see what common factors may be leading to these flares this time of year. If it is summer where you live, you are most likely getting more sun exposure, even while doing things like driving or just walking outside to get the mail. Also, the sun is stronger this time of year, so it may take less time for your skin to react adversely. Please know I know this isn't the same, but I do have incredibly strong reactions to poison ivy and have dealt with systemic outbreaks, so I know how excruciating the itchiness can be and how you just want some RELIEF! I do hope you are able to find something to help you today and that you can get in to see your doctor asap for some treatment!

"Today has been awful with the wildfire smoke from Canada I work in drive-thru 8 hours today and now my body is killing me my legs my feet my head my eyes are so dry and rashy on my right eye this year it's been bad dry all around my eye itches and burns I have to put Vaseline on my eye lids I need to rest I'm staying home from work tomorrow taking a sick day."

Oh my gosh...I hear you on that haze and smoke!
We've been experiencing it here for the past two days, and it has been awful.
I bet the exposure from the drive-thru was quite bothersome.
I'm hoping your eye has cleared up a bit and you've been able to rest and take it easy.

It's difficult finding or maintaining a job while living with a chronic condition such as lupus.
